Dr Andrew Coley, Chief Clinical Officer, NHS Clinical Leaders Network
Nexus events offer a front row seat at conversations about the big issues in health and care.
We’re really excited about our new programme of upcoming CLN Nexus Events.
Open to all our members for free, and partners for a small fee, our events bring together international thought leaders, national policy makers and frontline innovators: to share their thinking on, and to debate, the big issues in health and care.
And in an environment of continual, and rapid change, we believe these conversations are more needed than ever.
So we’re delighted to be welcoming some of the leading thinkers and innovators who are shaping the national conversation in the NHS and healthcare more generally; such as:
Professor Sir Stephen Powis: Medical Director, NHS England
Professor Sir Michael Marmot: Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health, and Director of the Institute of Health Equity, University College London.
Rob Webster CBE: CEO, NHS West Yorkshire ICB
Professor Bola Owolabi, Director of the National Healthcare Inequalities Improvement Programme, NHS England
Dr Amar Shah MBE: National Clinical Director, NHS Improvement, NHS England
Professor Sir Cary Cooper, Professor of Organisational Psychology and Health, University of Manchester
Dr Neil Churchill OBE: Director of People and Communities, NHS England
Our speakers and members will be tackling how to deliver operational and clinical excellence, working together to improve population health, eliminating health inequalities, and empowering patients and staff in four sessions between June 2024 and March 2025.
How they work:
Each event is held online. You’ll be sent a joining link once you’ve booked your place.
They will include talks from our guest speakers and discussions with everyone in attendance.
They usually last around 4 hours, and are fully interactive, including immersive workshops where participants will work together on particular challenges related to the theme of the event.
Why you should attend:
If you’re a member or a clinician:
You’ll get to hear from and speak directly with some of the leading thinkers in the NHS, and work together with other clinical leaders to formulate solutions to some of your most pressing issues; helping to create approaches that you can implement in your work.
If you’re a private sector partner or affiliate:
You’ll gain unrivalled insight into the thoughts of policy makers, thought-leaders and innovators in the NHS, helping you to understand the front-line perspective of the whole NHS family.
You’ll be building market awareness of your offer through presenting yourselves as a thought leader organisation; leading to creating new relationships in the system, helping you develop your practice in line with your what the market needs now and in the future.
So it’s a great opportunity to influence the conversation around the key issues of the day.
Each Nexus event is open for booking now [LINK]. If you’d like any further information about the events, or to talk about supporting the event as a commercial affiliate, please just get in touch with our team. I’m looking forward to seeing you at our next Nexus event!
