A brand new pilot programme for 2023/24
The NHS Clinical Leaders Network (CLN) are excited to announce a brand new training pilot that supports experienced clinical and care leaders transition their skills and expertise through a self development journey into collaborative, compassionate and inclusive system leadership.
Systems approaches are essential for delivering a credible, viable, and adaptive means in which to achieve the complex challenges of delivering high quality health and social care linked to wider societal outcomes. Systems leadership is about building a culture in which systems approaches can flourish.
This is a training programme exclusively developed by clinical and care leaders in partnership with industry experts of leadership models and systems thinking. The programme will provide a psychologically safe place to explore, test and adapt systems leadership theory through facilitated discussions and knowledge sharing with national/internationally renowned experts alongside targeted experiential learning.
At the end of the programme, leaders will be part of an exclusive network of peers, supported by the NHS CLN to continue their leadership development alongside a ‘toolkit’ of methods, skills, behaviours and experiences that will enable them to excel in their systems leadership role.

This pilot programme will take place over 6-7 months commencing on 18 October 2023 through a series of a mixture of face to face learning sessions supported by our online, professionally facilitated Digital Action Learning Sets. For this pilot we are looking for 3 clinical/care leaders from each region in England who are in an established leadership role and working within a system setting. The cost for each place is £2,500.
